Acupuncture and migrane

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine.  practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. known as acupoints. The goal of acupuncture is to balance the body’s energy. or Qi, and reduce pain. In recent years, acupuncture has been studied as a treatment option for migraines. a condition characterized by severe headaches.  often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.

Studies have found that regular acupuncture treatments can decrease the frequency. and severity of migraines in sufferers. One study showed that individuals who received acupuncture had a 49% reduction in the number of days with migraines. Another study found that acupuncture was as effective as prophylactic medication. for preventing migraines.

Acupuncture works by stimulating the release of endorphins. the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals. It may also help to regulate the nervous system and improve blood flow to the brain. However, the exact mechanisms by which acupuncture provides relief for migraines are not yet fully understood.

According to Shai Davids in Jerusalem, Acupuncture is a safe. and non-invasive treatment option for those suffering from migraines. Unlike medication, acupuncture does not have any negative side effects and can be used in conjunction with other treatments.
